WHAT THEY DID. Palantir holds ICE’s ImmigrationOS contract, reported IRS “mega-database” work, and an Army enterprise agreement worth up to $10 billion. It gave a reported $10 million to the ballroom. Public Citizen counts $1.03 billion in new or increased federal contracts in the six months to May 2026. [Public Citizen] A Democratic letter notes Stephen Miller disclosed $100,000–$250,000 in Palantir stock.
WHAT DEMOCRATS HAVE SAID AND DONE. Sen. Wyden and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez wrote Palantir on June 17, 2025 demanding answers “about plans to build IRS mega-database of American citizens.” [Senate Finance] Warren, Raskin and colleagues asked the DHS and DoD inspectors general on Dec. 8, 2025 to investigate immigration-contractor conflicts, naming Palantir. [Letter] Reps. Garamendi, Goldman and Velázquez and Sen. Wyden wrote DHS and ICE in April 2026 on Palantir’s surveillance contracts. [Garamendi] Sens. Whitehouse, Peters and Heinrich named Palantir as a ballroom donor. [Letter] Rep. Himes’s Sept. 28, 2026 letter to NDIA warned intelligence contractors that ballroom donations “may be scrutinized”; the White House has identified Palantir as a donor. [Nextgov]
WHY IT INTENSIFIES. Palantir is named in Reuters’s and Bloomberg’s accounts of target discussions and is hiring Democratic lobbyists. [Bloomberg via Yahoo Finance] It touches three Democratic priorities at once: ICE/DHS (one of Garcia’s five), data privacy, and ballroom pay-to-play. Palantir says it supports lawful missions and does not build mass-surveillance databases.
